This is a great sword. You can see the quality on the blade, and the balance is perfect. A great value.

OK, so its not a real, folded steel samurai sword. Those cost thousands, and you get what you pay for, however, compare the price to an $85 Ka-bar, and you begin to see how reasonably priced this sword is. The quality and craftsmanship of this sword is easily comparable to any mid-range, mass-produced combat knife made by companies like Ka-bar or Ontario. You are paying for a sword that is handmade with modern materials and knifemaking techniques - high carbon steel with a clay-tempered "hamon" edge. No joke, the edge is sharp enough to shave with. I plan on purchasing the matching Katana, and I already purchased 2 Mushashi style (#670) tsuba to make the set truly no-frills.

This Cold Steel Warrior Katana is better than expected. I have had the sword for two weeks now.The sword arrived with some dirt on it that wiped off easily. I agree with other reviewers that this katana is blade heavy making quick recovery during forms more than a bit difficult. The blade is sharp enough to catch on a thumb nail when scraping over the nail to check sharpness but not shaving sharp. The katana cuts completely through water bottles better than many of the videos depict on You Tube.

Even though the black paint isn't the way it looks in the picture it's still the durable, sharp, heavy, blade I was hoping it would be :D

At first it felt small in my hand. Very lightweight blade with nice long o-kissake' But the tsuba is kind of small so, this is a nice katana but somewhat feels wakizashi-ish, which i do like its just not the sword i was expecting so at first I was surprised is all. Fittings are tight blade is very nice. I think the o-kissake(Blade tip)

I Bought this Sword set a couple weeks ago for my friend for christmas. i was amazed by how sharp they were and the overall design of the blades.

I chop full branches worth it ...it was sweet my boy was like omg be careful of cleansing tool I th ought I was gonna die with the glass sheds in the powder patch

Beautiful wakazashi, well made well balanced, sharpened and polished. Blade is not only a beautiful display piece but also fully functional battle ready, definitely recommend to any blade collector.

Very nice katana. Especially for the price. For 100 dollars you cannot beat this sword. I'm not a self proclaimed master swordsman like most of the people who write these reviews, and I'm not gonna pretend like I am. That being said I don't know for sure how katanas are graded traditionally so I'm giving this one 5 stars based on how it appeals to me. Aesthetically appealing across the board. Real hamon, everything was just as advertised. It came nice and sharp, although I plan on honing it more. I cut a few tree branches with ease, and some others weren't so easy (which may have been my technique or lack thereof). I don't know if it's razor sharp or not or how to determine that, but it sliced a paper into ribbons a few times. I would buy this sword again, in fact I probably will. No blade wobble. Yes it's made in China, what isn't these days.

This was a Christmas gift for my fiance. I also purchased the display case so he could hang it on the wall. High quality and very impressive. Now I want one, too!

except for some plastic on the sheath... looks like good quality, unless you look close... Great decoration!! Comes with a basic stand, also not bad.
