Definitely not the quality I expected from a lower price sword, an ingenious design as well. The blade also came surprisingly sharp compared to others I have purchased in the past.

Wasn't expecting much at this price point but the katana delivered was very nice, pommel, tsuba, wrapping all very tight,the blade looked gorgeous as well as functional,way more sword than I need at my skill level (which is zero). Maker and seller delivered a very nice product that I am more than happy with and can display proudly. Thank you Amazon for bringing me this wonderful deal.

Great katana it was shiped right away its the best katana i have sofar . Verry good craftsmanship the only problem is the black metal part at the end of the handle has alittle paint missing but to me thats minor I dont care about that its a great sword i rate it a 10 out of 10.

Great Katana for the price. I like it, I wouldn't use it as a first line of defense in a battle but, I think it could hold it own due to the way it's built and the craftsmanship.

I have a black belt in kenjutsu (Kuki Shinden-Ryu Happo Bikenjutsu) and this is one of my favorite swords. Even though it was not manufactured in a traditional way, it is proof that modern manufacturing techniques can mass produce swords that any ancient samurai would have envied. It handles well, and cuts well. It's razor sharp and nearly indestructible.

Very well made, better than I expected for the price. Not razor sharp, but probably the best buy in it's price range. I've bought several Cold Steel products they are all extremely well made.

I haven't used it yet but I love the damn katana it's sexy as hell

Honestly I love it I just got it today, it's a beautiful sword nice and sturdy but there's a few minor problems (which is why I only give 4 stars) 1.) one of the clips for the belt is broken 2.) the blade is slanted to the right a bit. Other than those minor problems i love this sword a lot.

This sword is absolutely beautiful. Great quality, good weight and balance. My only issue with the sword is the claw and the wrapping that's tied to it. The wrapping is a really cheap looking material that appears worn on the edges. Also unlike most samural swords it's not beautifully tied/wrapped around the sword. Aside from that I really like the sword. Oh and one more thing, the picture used to show the sword is accurate so don't expect it to be white as it is in the movie. However in my opinion, the color of this sword/sheath is better than that of the movie.

A beast of a sword. Has a natural feel when cutting. The weight of the sword does the work, putting power behind it is optional.

I usualy love cold steel knives. This katana arrived a bit sub standard. There are rust spots about 2 inches long on the face of the blade. Also on the spine at about the center point on the blade there is a 3 inch rust spot. Most of the length of the blade was dull except for the tip. It appears as if the katana had been stored for a very long time or handled much before it was sold to me. I will however keep it and attempt to buff out the rust then sharpen.

This sword is very nice and sharp, it is so sharp that I cut through six cans of tea in the same time! It is worth it and always remember to keep it oiled because it will rust other than that is is a very beautiful piece of art I highly recommend this katana

Can't beat the price for a functional katana. Has been used in demonstrations and makes the perfect fruit ninja devise for summer picnic watermelon serving, as well as melon, cantaloupe, turkey, chicken, apple pitching, pumpkin devastation and heck, home security!

I like the feel of it, it goes well with my other two bokkens from cold steel. It barely fits one of my hands, but it works and is really fun when using the bokken at the same time.

Double Sweet!!!!!! Beautiful red and black blade highlights the folding laminations, solid construction. Hay bales yield smoothly. Details nice. I got it for the symbolism of the green and fish, and the red blade details -- Archangel St Raphael, the Source of Divine Healing (Green and fish) and Archangel St Euriel, the Source of Divine Wisdom (Red). Later, I might ask Ryan to have matching Wakizashi and Tanto made for me. I'll bet that the Archangel Raphael, the Source of Divine Healing, uses the sword to metaphorically cut out illness.

I received my Samurai Sword on time and in excellent condition . When I opened the box the first thing I noticed was how heavy it was . This is a real sword not just a prop . It is beautifully made and very sharp.( Very sharp ) . I bought it to hang in my new office so I dont plan on using it , but it is nice to know it is there. Who knows maybe there will be a zombie invasion or at least an over zealous salesman , could be fun .
